Ramille 1.0.0

Release date to be announced

First public release of Ramille, the Git client for macOS. It shows what each Git action will do before you run it, and brings your history, conflicts and pull requests into one app.

Commit and push

  • Choose the files, blocks or lines that go into each commit, review the diff, write your message and amend the last commit.
  • The Sync screen shows the destination, the commits to send, the expected conflicts and when the remote was last checked, across all your remotes.
  • When an action is not possible, Ramille tells you why.

History and branches

  • A graph of your branches, merges and tags, with the message and diff of each commit.
  • Compare branches, cherry-pick one or more commits, stash your work and finish git-flow branches.

When Git stops you

  • Interactive rebase that you can pause and pick up when you come back.
  • A conflict resolver that shows the common ancestor, your version and theirs, and keeps a copy of the original files.
  • Undo and redo for the last Git action.

Pull requests

  • GitHub and Azure DevOps: review, comment, see the merge conditions and merge from the app.
  • Bitbucket Cloud and Data Center: changes, discussions and CI status. GitLab: create merge requests.
  • Several accounts per host, with the right account picked for each repository.

Also in this version

  • The ⌘K palette for every command, and opening a file in Xcode, VS Code, Cursor or Zed.
  • Optional AI for commit messages and pull request descriptions, with a local model (Ollama, LM Studio) or your own key for a remote provider. You see what will be sent before anything leaves your Mac.
  • Tokens kept in the macOS Keychain, SSH with host fingerprint checks.
  • Universal app for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, signed and notarized by Apple, with updates through Sparkle installed only after your click.
